The film workforce is majority white, according to figures compiled by the California Film Commission. It is also 75% male. Remember: Interviewers often select candidates similar to themselves in background, education, race, and gender. Expanding the decision-making pool to reflect gender and ethnic diversity allows for the mitigation of these implicit biases.
