Hiring Databases: Diversify.Film

Diversify.film is an initiative launched as a collective effort of Brown Girls Doc Mafia, The Black TV & Film Collective, Hue You Know, Stay Gold Features, the Department of Motion Pictures and Cinereach. Diversify.film intends to be a comprehensive tool that links productions to BIPOC-led databases centering BIPOC professionals.

Producers who visit Diversify.film can access staffing databases from the site’s founding organizations listed above, as well as those of Asian American Documentary Network, Black in Film, Black Film Space, Film in Colour, Latinx Directors, NALIP, and more. Organizations that would like to add their directories to Diversify.film can reach out to the initiative through its website.

In addition to providing quick access to the databases of a range of BIPOC-led organizations, Diversify.Film also allows for employers to post open job listings . You can select individual databases to target your post, or select to share with multiple organizations and their stakeholders.
